Outreach news

March is a busy time for the Outreach Team!

The Senior Youth Theatre is in the final stages of its rehearsals for The Three Musketeers, which is on in the first week of April. We’re frantically learning eighteenth century dances, sword fighting, and generally running around the rehearsal room shouting ‘en guarde!’ a lot.

Meanwhile we’re preparing for our festival of new writing, Raising Voices, and casting for the Outreach Tour of Gulliver’s Travels, directed by Outreach Director Ade Morris.

In the meantime Beth Flintoff, Learning and Participation Director, is nearing the end of the Shake Up Shakespeare project, working with English teachers to improve the use of drama when teaching Shakespeare.

We’ve also been working with all sorts of brilliant local schools and organisations these past few weeks: such as St Bartholomew’s School, The Downs School, Newbury College, The Phoenix Day Centre, Hampstead Norreys Primary School, Marlborough College, The Education & Business Partnership, Welford & Wickham Primary School, and Downe House School ... to name but a few
