Access
The Watermill Theatre premises are 90% accessible to wheelchair users and people with mobility difficulties. There is a spiral staircase to our circle seats on the first floor and no lift, so if you need to be seated in the stalls, please let our box office staff know at the time of booking. There are reserved disabled parking spaces near the theatre entrance, two of these are paved to allow for easier access for patrons using wheelchairs. These should be reserved when you book your theatre tickets.
We can accommodate two people in wheelchairs per performance, subject to availability. We also have our own wheelchair on request. We have some seats allocated that are suitable for wheelchair transfers and these should be requested at the time of booking your theatre tickets. There is a reduction of £2.50 off each ticket for both a disabled person and their companion.
Subject to availability there is an infrared Sennheiser hearing assistance system for people with impaired hearing. To ensure you are seated in areas where this is effective, please let us know that you would like to use the system when booking.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome, but please let us know when you book so that we can allocate appropriate seats for you in the auditorium.
Interpreted Performances
Some performances are British Sign Language and audio interpreted. Look out for details on the show information pages of the website.
Acclimatisation Visits
If you have not been to the theatre before, we will be happy to arrange for you to come to have a look around to get your bearings when it is not too busy.
Audio and large print copies of our brochure are available on request from the box office.
In order to help us help you when you visit The Watermill, please tell us about any special requirements you, or anyone in your party, may have when you book your seats.
