YOUTH THEATRE

Junior Youth Theatre

Three groups (6-7s, 8-9s, 10-11s)
The aim is to have fun whilst developing imagination, building confidence and team work, exploring theatre games and skills, culminating in showcase performances at the end of each term.

Youth Theatre

(11-15s)
This group is a developing ensemble of young people with a growing dedication to theatre.  The group meets regularly during term-time on weekday evenings, experimenting with and learning about theatre practice.  They produce one full-scale production every year.

Mix Youth Theatre – The Watermill in Town

(11-15s)
This is a youth theatre based at the Waterside Centre in Newbury, run in partnership with West Berkshire Council. Supported by Arts & Kids

Young Company

The Young Company consists of older (16+) performers and technicians with an interest in pursuing a future in the performing arts.  Several former members have already begun careers in professional theatre. The Young Company also produces one full-scale production a year which is presented in the theatre.

Youth Theatre places are in high demand and we are dedicated to involving as many people as we can - so in January 2008 we will be launching our Associate Youth Theatre. Check back later for more information.

Any Youth Theatre enquiries should be made to Robin Belfield on 01635 570927 or via email: outreach@watermill.org.uk
