(aka David Archer in The Archers)
An Earl Entertains
One of Britain’s best-loved actors, Tim Bentinck brings his hugely entertaining one-man show ‘Love Your Chocolates' to The Watermill. The only Earl currently working as a professional actor, Tim Bentinck has lived an extraordinarily varied life and shares this with the audience in this warm and witty one-hander. Born on a sheep station in Tasmania, Bentinck’s experiences are anything but mundane; these stories along with tales from The Archers, comedy songs and video clips form the basis of this enchanting show. Bentinck says of the evening: “It’s a mixed bag I guess, it’s like having lots of people round to dinner and making them laugh - although you'd never see a live radio lambing at a dinner party!”
As one of the UKs most acclaimed voice actors and voiceover artist, Bentinck has played David Archer in the incredibly popular radio soap for over 28 years. What many don't realise however is how much experience he also has in TV, movies and the theatre - he is also the voice of 'Mind The Gap' on the Piccadilly Line! Regulars at the Watermill will remember him as Frank in Educating Rita in 2009.
