Since August 2013 The Watermill has been running drama workshops with West Berkshire Young Carers, a group of young people with caring responsibilities at home. This is a play based on their experiences of caring for someone they love – a funny and poignant exploration of the challenges faced by young carers in their everyday lives.
Thursday 17th April 7pm at Theale Library
MY UNTIDY LIFE
Written and performed by members of West Berkshire Young Carers
Trying to look after someone who is ill can be like trying to juggle a hundred balls at once. But what’s it like if you’ve also got to get your homework done and your school friends wonder why you’re never around? These remarkable young people are all relied upon at home to be a grown up and make decisions that other children never have to consider. With help from The Watermill Theatre, they have created a drama based on their experiences of caring for someone they love.
