Outreach News- Autumn 2013

With the nights drawing in, the outreach studio continues to light up into the evening with lots of energetic sessions and rehearsals. During half term we welcomed over 250 people to take part in our Pinocchio Family Fun Day, Drama Games and Stage Combat workshops and after weeks of rehearsals our Young Company performed You Can’t Take It With You in the theatre.

Young Carers
We continue to work with West Berkshire Young Carers, supporting young people with caring duties at home to complete their Bronze Arts Award. Next term the group will be presenting a short performance to family and peers. If you are a young carer or know someone who might be interested in getting involved then please email the Young Carers Co-ordinator, Rhys Lewis, RLewis@westberks.gov.uk

Regular Groups
Here’s a list of the regular groups we run:

Waterminis (toddler group on Wednesday mornings)
Junior Youth Theatre (Saturday morning workshops, ages 6 – 11yrs)
Senior Youth Theatre (Tuesday nights, ages 11 – 16yrs)
Associate Youth Theatre (Wednesday nights, for those on the youth theatre waiting list, ages 8 – 16yrs)
Young Company (Thursday nights, ages 17 – 25yrs)
Upstage (Monday nights, adults)
Encores (Older people no longer in full time work, Monday afternoons)
Actors Forum (professional actors, once a month)
Scratch Choirs – occasional day-long courses (usually held on Sundays, two per season)
