Regular giving deserves applause
The Watermill Theatre is one of the country’s leading regional theatres and under the direction of Hedda Beeby, its productions continue to wow audiences home and abroad. With nearly 180,000 people seeing a Watermill show in 2008/9 we are proud to be able to keep up our tradition of producing award winning shows.
As a registered charity, The Watermill Theatre aims to break even each financial year. Approximately 79% of our revenue income is generated by our own activities – box office sales, restaurant sales, sponsorship, donations and merchandise. The remaining 21% is received from the Arts Council of England SE and West Berkshire Council.
Our fundraising strapline regular giving deserves applause reminds people that fundraising remains a priority for us every year. Without ongoing support from our donors we would not be able to fully deliver our artistic programme and we would struggle to survive. Your support is crucial to the theatre now and in the future.
