A rambling Elizabethan house on the rugged coast of North Anglesey. An evening in late Autumn, roses hanging heavy in the old garden, a mournful bell rings at Penmon lighthouse, the Priory dovecot settles to sleep. In the cosy parlour an old lady and her companion listen to Radio Cymru in the firelight, bound by an unbreakable bond.

What brought a dour Welsh gardener to share his twilight with an English rose from a bygone age, both kissed by unforgettable summers? What happened in this haunting place to give their past such power? Follow their footsteps through the wild dog-daisies in the garden of Llangoed.
