An evening of two one act plays by two local amateur companies: The Box Theatre Company and Newbury Dramatic Society.
presented by Box Theatre Company
A father wants what's best for his daughter but a daughter's will is one to be reckoned with. The mistrust that breeds within old love and the innocence of young love combine to create the opportunity for high jinx. In Moliere's play Sganarelle, misdirection and confusion provides fast and hilarious entertainment for all.
presented by Newbury Dramatic Society
In Alan Ayckbourn's play, the humour is based on a riotous summer fete, at which secrets come out at surprising times and a tea urn has a life of its own! In the second part, five singletons reflect on how and why their lives are not as cracked up as they are meant to be!
