Roger Burdett

All of us at The Watermill were saddened to hear of the recent sudden death of Roger Burdett. His colleague Tony Ayers writes: Roger was a strong supporter of the theatre and Chair of The Friends of The Watermill for several years, and a member of The Watermill’s Board of Trustees. He held these positions during the vital early years after the theatre had been bought from the Sargant family. His calm, thoughtful approach was absolutely what was needed through a time of such change and did much to keep the Friends engaged and involved in the theatre. All of us who knew him will miss him terribly, and send our love and support to Wendy and the family. You can read the full tribute to Roger Burdett here.

Did you know that The Watermill Theatre
is a charity?

It costs approximately £2.5m a year to keep the theatre running, produce our shows and run our outreach department. Every pound counts so please give generously to our Production Fund. You can give in a variety of ways, at Box Office, online, over the phone, via cheque or cash. We’ve just installed 4 donations boxes in the building to make it even easier to donate to your favourite theatre! You’ll find one at the bar, box office, in the lily pond courtyard and a large one in the foyer by the entrance. Please give generously – thank you!

Watermill Ducklings

Our newsletter at this time of year wouldn’t be complete without the latest duckling news! Another brood has hatched and they’re growing fast! Keep an eye out for them on your next visit to the theatre.
