Announcing a new course welcoming Deaf and hearing impaired people

Next month we’re launching Duologue – a group for young people and adults from the Deaf and hearing impaired community. Whether you are deaf yourself, or CODA (children of deaf adults), or connected to the deaf world in another way, or just interested, we’d love to meet you. You must be 12 years or older but you don’t need to have any experience of performing, just an enthusiasm to create theatre with new people.

Actor musicianship – why and what next? Book Club with Jeremy Harrison

The Watermill has played a significant part in developing the actor-musician art form. It’s won us awards, including two Tony awards on Broadway, and plenty of accolades over the years. Leading actor-musician and a core member of John Doyle’s award-wining ensemble of actors from 1995 to 2001, Jeremy now trains the next generation of the quadruple threat actors (who can act, dance, sing and play a musical instrument or three!). At this talk Jeremy will discuss with Artisitc Director Paul Hart why audiences have embraced this style of theatre and what might happen next both here at the Watermill and beyond.

Friday 26 August at 1.30pm.
Tickets £6 and £6.50

For any budding actor-musicians interested in taking part in a workshop with Jeremy beforehand please contact jan@watermill.org.uk for more information.
