The cast are in rehearsals for the next production in our 50th anniversary year, a thrilling new adaptation, Faust x2 by award-winning Star Wars actor Ian McDiarmid. Inspired by Philip Wayne’s translation of Goethe’s dramatic poem, this fast-moving version of the famous legend is told with humour and a sense of danger. |
In The Watermill’s intimate space, dramatic projection and video design by Zsolt Balogh will bring to life the powerful story of a brilliant but frustrated academic who sells his soul for the chance to lead a different life. Zsolt’s work has been seen on projects including the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, Hull’s UK City of Culture Opening Ceremony and the David Bowie is exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum, as well as productions for the National Theatre, English National Opera, Metropolitan Opera and Royal Court. |
