Household furniture needed – can you help?


We are seeking help from our loyal supporters to help us furnish our actors’ accommodation. We are looking for items of household furniture which are no longer required but still in reasonable condition and are specifically looking for the items below:

• A wardrobe

• A working TV and TV cabinet

• A coffee table

• A dining table and four to six chairs

• Bedside rugs


Four sets of:

• Double beds (with or without mattresses)

• Bedside tables

• Small chests of drawers.

Two:

• Sofas

• Bathroom cabinets

• Occasional tables

• Small armchairs

The Wolves of Willoughby Chase


A classic adventure story suitable for age 8 upwards will be brought to the stage by The Watermill’s Senior Youth Theatre at the end of the month. With their trademark sense of humour and ensemble style they will perform The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, a stage adaptation of the book by Joan Aiken.


It’s 1832 and wolves roam freely around a dark and wintry England. Left alone after her parents go abroad, Bonnie and her orphaned cousin Sylvia are looking forward to spending time together in their huge, rambling home, Willoughby Chase. But the arrival of the sinister governess Miss Slighcarp and a mysterious stranger on a train leads them into a frightening series of mysteries.

Easter Holiday Course Play in a Week

Book Club with
Bob Harris


Broadcaster and music presenter, 'Whispering' Bob Harris will be our next book club guest on Tuesday 12 May at 1.30pm. Bob first became known as the face of the 1970s live music TV show The Old Grey Whistle Test and his infectious enthusiasm for music and ability to discover new talent have seen him become a national treasure. He continues to be a household name today and his velvety voice can be heard on Radio 2's The Bob Harris Show and Bob Harris Country. Bob will talk about his autobiography Still Whispering After All These Years, a frank, vibrant and inspiring tale of one of the most influential names on the radio. Tickets £6.

Tuxedo Junction
Scratch Choir


All aboard for a toe-tapping musical journey across America! Learn an infectious collection of songs celebrating the 1940s music scene as featured in our show, Tuxedo Junction, during our Scratch Choir for Adults on Sunday 26 April. Working with the show’s Musical Director and performer Simon Slater, you will learn and rehearse the songs during the day before performing them to an audience of family and friends in the evening.
