Outreach News: July

We’re celebrating the end of the first year of Waterminis this month: our group of gorgeous under fives have been meeting weekly in term time since September with their parents and carers. We’ll be marking the end of the year with a picnic - so fingers crossed for some sunshine! We’re also approaching the end of term with our brilliant regular groups: the Junior Youth Theatre, Young Company, and Senior Youth Theatre. We’ll be saying goodbye for the summer and looking forward to welcoming them afresh with some new recruits in the autumn.

This month we also have our Salsa classes: a chance to learn some of the dance styles of our musical Copacabana. This is a new venture for us but it’s already sold out, so we’re looking forward to getting our feet tapping!

Next month we’re looking ahead to our holiday courses: there are still a handful of spaces on the Musical in a Week, Academy, and Senior Play in a Week. Meanwhile our Adult Drama Course, Junior Play in a Week, and Scratch Choir have sold out (though we might be able to squeeze you in if you’re a Tenor or a Base). Do give us a ring if you fancy any of these.

We’re also working with all sorts of brilliant local schools and organisations such as (deep breath) .... voice coaching sessions with local adults, developing business skills at Vodafone with The Education & Business Partnership, a workshop on Daisy Pulls it Off at St Swithuns School, a film project with Park House, work experience support with Downe House, joining in the Careers Day at John O’Gaunt, and a workshop on The Revenger’s Tragedy at St Barts.
