Jesus Christ Superstar Workshops (ages 12-18)

Delve into the world of this year's epic summer musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, with six exciting workshops led by the incredible cast and crew.

Each day will cover a wide range of on-and-off-stage skills and will include a backstage tour and a free ticket for that evening's performance of Jesus Christ Superstar, followed by a Q&A.

You can choose whether you book for one of two workshops on the same day, but we encourage you to book for both.  Please do not book workshops across multiple days. Information about your free ticket for Jesus Christ Superstar will be sent out in due course.

24 July: 
1pm - Movement
Explore how we can use our bodies to create dance & physical theatre moments, and discover how this is applied within the production, with two of our Ensemble cast members.

3.15pm - Lighting
This session will cover the basics of lighting design and explore the creative choices for Jesus Christ Superstar. You will work with the lighting team from the production, who will give you first-hand insights into the process by looking at the theatre's lighting rig. 

7 August:
1pm - Stage Management
Learn what goes on behind the stage during a performance (and throughout rehearsals) with the productions' stage management team, including managing props, running a show, and much more!

3.15pm - Singing & Actor-Musicianship
Learn the techniques behind Actor-Musicianship and how to develop your singing skills with two of our cast members.

19 August:
1pm Acting
Work with some of our cast members to delve into the process behind how they create their characters & performances as they teach essential acting skills.

3.15pm Directing
Join the production's Assistant Director to learn how to approach bringing a script to life, directing scenes and creating a piece on the scale of Jesus Christ Superstar.
