In 2022 The Watermill Theatre established The Watermill Youth Ensemble, a company formed of talented young people aged 11+ who take part in The Watermill Theatre’s regular weekly groups.
The company not only gives young people the opportunity to flourish onstage, but also behind the scenes in stage management, design, and assistant director roles. The company puts their unique stamp on the performances, using their own experiences or learnt skills, in creating British Sign Language integrated, Captioned, and Audio Described performances.
The Watermill Youth Ensemble performed their first production, The Girl of Ink and Stars in March – April 2022, and have continued since then with much success and celebration.
Our next Youth Ensemble production is Wendy & Peter Pan, adapted by Ella Hickson from the novel by J.M. Barrie.
Performances 23 - 30 March. Tickets on sale from Monday 27 November.
(Priority sale for Watermill Friends opens 23 November)
