The Hot Club of Jupiter brings an evening of Hot Jazz and sultry swing inspired by the music of Django Rienhardt and Stephane Grappelli!
The Hot Club of Jupiter was formed to provide the music for the 2013 Renault Clio online ad campaign, which was promptly judged too lewd for public consumption and withdrawn. The band, however, lives on playing their unique mix of Gypsy swing, hot jazz, New Orleans grooves, Brazilian carnival samba and French surrealism.
The band have enjoyed a busy touring and performing schedule and are regulars at both London jazz venues and on the swing dance circuit. Previous highlights include sold outs gigs at London’s Ronnie Scotts, Pizza Express Dean Street, a BBC Radio 3 live session and a mammoth 8 gigs in 3 days at the Cork Jazz Festival.
