The Watermill Theatre operates throughout the year and has developed a reputation as one of Britain’s most exciting regional theatres. Our productions last year were seen by 124,000 audience members and our extensive outreach and education programme involved 16,000 people.

WATERMILL YOUNG COMPANY DIRECTOR
The Watermill Theatre in Newbury is looking for a professional director to work with its Young Company, a group of local young people aged 16 – 25yrs.
The Young Company meet on a Thursday night during term time throughout the year, and work towards a fully supported, designed and produced main house production in the Autumn.
The Young Company is a fantastic group of people, several of whom have gone on to become professional actors or directors in their own right. We are looking for someone who really enjoys this kind of work, who would relish the opportunity to support this group and create a brilliant show.
The Watermill is located in a Bagnor, Newbury, and is not accessible by public transport, so please only apply if you have a car and are based within reasonable travelling distance.
Unfortunately, we cannot consider you if you would need to commute from London.
Pay is £70 all in, per evening (two hours). There is an extra fee for directing the production in the autumn term.
