The Watermill Theatre’s new weekly drama group for young people with autism spectrum conditions.
What is Ad Lib?
All of our youth theatre activities at The Watermill are autism-friendly. Ad Lib is especially for young people aged 9 to 16 who have autism spectrum conditions, their siblings, their friends and their friends-to-be.
Who is it for?
Whether you have a diagnosis of autism, are waiting for one, or are keen to play alongside someone who sees the world differently, you are welcome.
How will it work?
Using drama and theatre games, you’ll build your communication and social skills, make new friends, and have plenty of fun.
Where and when will it happen?
Sessions will be at Moorside Community Centre, Thatcham on Thursdays, 7pm until 8.30pm.
How much will it cost?
Thanks to generous funding from Greenham Common Trust we are not charging for this course but if you would like to make a suggested donation of £50 (or £80 for two places, or £100 for three places) per term towards our community outreach programme, we value your support.
For more information, read our visual story about Ad Lib here, or call Lixi on 01635 570918 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are ready to book your place, please complete and return this application form. If you would like support to complete the form, please call Lixi on 01635 570918.
For many of us, trying something new, with new people, in a new place, can be daunting. Our familiarisation visits are a chance to meet Lixi, the group facilitator, and have a short tour of the theatre and facilities with her. If you would like to book a visit, please contact Lixi on 01635 570918 or email email@example.com
Please note that we will be working as a group and are not able to guarantee one-to-one support for participants. If this would be important to you, you are welcome to bring someone to support you; just let us know.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
