Watermill Theatre Youth Ensemble
In 2022, we established our Watermill Theatre Youth Ensemble, a company formed of talented young people aged 11+ who take part in our regular weekly Youth Theatre groups.
The company not only gives young people the opportunity to flourish onstage, but also behind the scenes in stage management, design, and assistant director roles. The company puts their unique stamp on the performances, using their own experiences or learnt skills to create and rehearse the play. Our young people also support the creation and delivery of British Sign Language integrated, Captioned, and Audio Described performances.
The Watermill Theatre Youth Ensemble performed their first production, The Girl of Ink and Stars, in Mar – Apr 2022, and have continued since then with much success and celebration.
Our most recent Youth Ensemble production was Emil and the Detectives. Our next production is Swallows & Amazons, 19 - 21 Mar 2026.
