About A Midsummer Night's Dream

‘Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind’

The Watermill’s Youth Ensemble bring Shakespeare’s comedy to life In a fresh new adaptation drawing on our distinctive brand of bold and inventive storytelling, with an infusion of music throughout.

In a world where everything feels too much, four young people run away to the woods to escape the rules and find freedom. But with magic in the air and two powerful forces of the forest at odds, love, friendship and loyalties are soon thrown into chaos.

Meanwhile, a group of unlikely actors are determined to put on a play of their own, unaware of just how far their ambitions might take them. As worlds collide, chaos and confusion ensue, and anything can happen under the midsummer moon…

Join us as our Youth Ensemble presents a celebration of imagination, collaboration and the freedom to make a little mayhem along the way.
