About Duologue

Our weekly drama group working in spoken English and British Sign Language, bringing together deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing people. Open to all ages from 8 to adult, BSL user or not.

Mon, 15 Sep - 8 Dec

A BSL interpreter is always present.

For many of us, trying something new, with new people, can be daunting, so we like to offer an opportunity for you to meet our Community Associate, Lixi Chivas, and ask any questions you may have.

Young people who take part in our regular sessions will also be invited to apply for our Youth Ensemble production in the Spring. Find out more about our Youth Ensemble here.

All about this workshop

Is there any level of skill or experience required?

Unless specified, none of our courses or sessions require any prior knowledge or experience, and are welcome to all, from beginners to experts.

I haven’t received any information since booking, is this a problem?

You should receive a confirmation email after booking the course. If you do not have this, please contact the Box Office by calling 01635 46044 or emailing boxoffice@watermill.org.uk. You will then receive more thorough information from the Outreach team in the days before the course starts.

What do I need to bring with me?

Please wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in and will keep you covered during any physical activity. Bring water in a clearly labelled or colourful bottle. If you have any medication you may need to take, please bring it in a clearly labelled bag and ensure we are aware by completing our Outreach booking form.

Who will be running the sessions?

Our Get Involved activities are run by a variety of professional theatre makers. This varies from freelance facilitators to members of the production crew or cast of our productions. All will have great experience and expertise in the content of the sessions and will be familiar with the Watermill’s safeguarding policies.

Can you support my access need?

We want all of our activities to be as open, comfortable and inclusive as possible, so we’re always happy to chat about specific access needs to make your or their experience as smooth as possible.

If you are interested in the group and have any questions before you book, please contact our Community Associate Lixi Chivas
