AN AFTERNOON WITH GEORGE STILES AND ANTHONY DREWE

Sun 15 Oct 2017

Celebrated writing duo Stiles and Drewe are one of Britain’s most successful musical theatre partnerships. Their multi-award winning musical Honk! originally commissioned for The Watermill, has been seen around the world by over 6 million people in over 8000 productions. Together they have written songs for numerous hit musicals including the West End and Broadway production of Mary Poppins, Cameron Mackintosh’s new version of Half a Sixpence, Travels with My Aunt at Chichester Festival Theatre, Betty Blue Eyes and The Wind in the Willows, which transfers to the London Palladium later this year.

From their early days working at The Watermill on shows such as Warts and All and their first professionally produced musical Just So, they have developed an international reputation working with people including Sir Richard Eyre, Julian Fellowes, Julia McKenzie and Steven Spielberg.

Join us for a lively afternoon of music and laughter with two legends of the musical theatre world as they reflect on their lives and achievements as well as performing some of their favourite songs with special guest performers.
