Book Club - ANN CLEEVES

Fri 18 Sep 2015

Ann Cleeves is the author behind ITV’s drama series Vera, starring Brenda Blethyn, and BBC One’s Shetland. She is the international bestseller of 29 novels and her books are translated into 20 languages.

Her novel Raven Black was awarded the 2006 CWA Gold Dagger for Best Crime Novel. In 2012 she was inducted into the CWA Crime Thriller Awards Hall of Fame and, this year, Ann was shortlisted for the prestigious CWA Dagger in the Library Award, which is given for an author’s entire body of work, along with the Scottish Crime Book of the Year.

Join Ann to uncover the secrets of writing fiction, getting published, what it's like having your work adapted for the screen and trying to keep crime fiction authentic without losing the plot...

This will also be an opportunity to get your hands on a signed copy of Cleeves' brand new Vera Stanhope novel, The Moth Catcher, which will be on sale at the theatre.

The restaurant will be open for lunch before the event and for cream tea afterwards. Please make a reservation when booking your tickets.

Our Book Club events are a great opportunity to indulge your love of books. There’s no joining fee and no need to read the books in advance.
