Our holiday courses are a chance to create, rehearse and perform a musical or play all in one week. A great opportunity to make new friends and develop performance skills. No experience necessary - just plenty of  enthusiasm!

Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 December

The World of Sleeping Beauty

A fun, creative course themed around The Watermill's Christmas show, Sleeping Beauty. Together the children will create characters, discover backstage secrets and perform a selection of scenes.

Devise, rehearse and perform your very
own play, all in one day.

Musical Theatre Taster

Learn some of your favourite songs and sequences from hit musicals. At the end of the two days there will be a presentation to family and friends.

Autism Friendly Shakespeare Week

Have a go at Shakespeare! All our holiday courses are autism friendly, but this one will be particularly suitable for young people on the autistic spectrum, their
siblings or friends. We’ll explore the weird and wonderful language, story and characters of Twelfth Night before watching the show in the theatre.

Tuesday 18 to Friday 21 April
Play in a Week

Inspired by Shakespeare’s comedy Twelfth Night, a fun, madcap twist on our
traditional Play in a Week. Rehearse and perform your very own version of the
Bard’s great work.

Ages 12 - 16 years (1 - 4pm)

Thursday 13 April 
Backstage at Twelfth Night

10am - after the matinée performance

Ages 11 - 18 years.
Gain an insight into the creation of Twelfth Night. Work with a professional director from The Watermill to discover the creative process, explore a selection of scenes and then watch the performance in the theatre.

Price £38 (Ticket for the matinée performance included). Please book before Monday 6 February to guarantee your theatre ticket.

Industry Insight

For young people hoping to pursue a career in theatre. Watch the matinée performance of Romeo + Juliet before meeting members of the cast and backstage team to hear about their careers and get advice.
