The Watermill Theatre welcomes you to join monthly drama workshops for adults who, for whatever reason, could use a change of scene.
When did you last play?
Drama lends itself to supporting well-being for the opportunity it offers to just play! Through play we make sense of the world around us, thinking ourselves into unusual, surprising and puzzling circumstances, and thinking ourselves out of them.
How do actors deal with stage fright, anxiety and pressure?
How do they control the messages we all send out to the people around us?
Scene Change will explore some of the material and exercises that actors and directors use when training and performing. As we listen, laugh, and learn, your skills and confidence will build within a supportive and encouraging group.
Being a stand-alone session, there is no obligation to come every time, but for those who attend regularly, topics will vary month to month.
Whatever your yesterday, you can leave your everyday at the door to express yourself, stretch your imagination, and relax with fellow Scene Changers.

If you would struggle to get to The Watermill, please ask us about support with travel.
Please note that Scene Change is a creative arts programme and does not offer dramatherapy. If you have significant needs we are happy to signpost you towards more appropriate services.
Contact Lixi on 01635 570918 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for this or any other questions or ideas.
For many of us, trying something new, with new people, in a new place, can be daunting. Our familiarisation visits are a chance to meet Lixi, the group facilitator, and have a short tour of the theatre and facilities with her.
We will hold a tour at 12.30pm before every monthly session at The Watermill, after which you are welcome to stay for the workshop or carry on with your day.
If you would like to join a tour, please contact Lixi on 01635 570 918 or email email@example.com
We look forward to meeting you soon!
